A Sense of Home (ASOH) strives to prevent homelessness by creating first-ever homes for youth aging out of foster care with donated furniture and home goods.
Furniture is a weapon against Homelessness. 50% of the homeless population spent time in foster care.ASOH furnishes a space with donated goods in only 90 minutes. A Sense of Home has a proven model to collect hundreds of thousands in donated goods and mobilize thousands of volunteers to show up and create homes in under 90-minutes, exactly where they are needed most. We do so by engaging the community in a way that helps people thrive against all odds.
To meet the already ever-growing demand to create homes and to harness the exponential enthusiasm from the general public who want to volunteer, ASOH designed the framework to automate its processes to become ever more efficient and to scale the model into new regions. The ASOH App enables regional Chapters to open. Given the national emergency, ASOH will now be making the model more widely available.
As we remain separated, and housebound, how can we come together as a community to prevent and stop immediate suffering. And once we survive, how do we ensure stability, healing and a better tomorrow for all? Buying a team heart tee, will help scale the ASOH model across the county — not only for aged-out foster youth but for all vulnerable and devastated populations.

The very small staff and lean operations in Los Angeles have functioned out of a donated warehouse space for 4 years. New owners of the space that ASOH occupies require them to move. In order to continue operations ASOH must raise funds for a warehouse immediately.
