According to National Geographic, sharks kill approximately five humans every year. In 2016, we slaughtered over 100 million of these creatures. This is mainly due to the illegal activity known as finning. Finning is the act of brutally removing all of the shark's fins, often while they are still alive, and then discarding them back into the ocean where they either drown, starve, or bleed to death. The fins are then used for decorations, shark fin soup, and are tossed in the trash. Please help raise awareness for the inhumane and horrible crime of finning and refuse to buy products made with shark fins. These animals are simply worth more than an illegal bowl of soup.
Proceeds will be donated to nonprofit organizations dedicated to putting a stop to shark finning and protecting our oceans!
