Fashion's IT Girl Gets Political For ACLU

Emily Ratajkowski's No Ban, No Wall Revolution

The arrivals hall at Los Angeles International airport is well-known for receiving all sorts of famous faces, what it's less well-known for are protesters carrying signs of defiance.

On January 28, citizens and famous celebrities gathered at airports across the country to protest the travel ban enacted by President Trump on January 27,2017.

One such attendee was the model, actress, and activist Emily Ratajkowski, one of approximately 4,000 people at LAX who demonstrated their disapproval of the newly signed executive order.

"It's time not only to stand for things generally, but to take political action and demand systematic change," Emily wrote on her Instagram account.

Part of this systematic change for Ratajkowski is attending marches and protests around the country. She's penning essays about feminism and body images, as well as getting people involved through her latest endeavor; a t-shirt inspired by her LAX sign with a portion of the proceeds assisting the ACLU.

"Today was important," Ratajkowski said in an Instagram post about the event,"but tomorrow and the days after are even more important."
