Life Matters. No Matter What.

These last three years, I have dedicated my life to two things: the Consistent Ethic of Life, and the publication I founded 3 years ago – Life Matters Journal. LMJ has become the foremost publication for a Consistent Ethic of Life, and a leading resource for youth looking for intellectual consistency in the effort for human rights. We work to end all aggressive violence through education and discourse. We work to end abortion, unjust war, the death penalty, human trafficking, abuse, suicide, torture, embryonic stem-cell research, and euthanasia. Knowing that a culture will not be moved without changing hearts and minds, we work in a non-sectarian, non-partisan format to reach as many people as is possible.

With an all volunteer staff, we organized and executed Life/Peace/Justice 2014, the largest Consistent Life Ethic conference to date. With an all volunteer staff, we have produced LMJ quarterly, and for the first 3 years I served as layout and executive editor. With an all volunteer staff, we launched the Pro-Life Allies Project, to actively promote collaboration in the pro-life movement. Through a hugely diverse demographic of attendance and readership, we are changing hearts, minds, and forming strong advocates for human life.

LMJ has changed the conversation around abortion and other human rights issues. My generation represents the future of the pro-life movement: consistent, holistic, and inclusive. As an organization, we are an unprecedented blend of intellect and action, and we are poised to make unprecedented change. If you can’t do this work, let me. LMJ can take your whole-life commitment to the streets, the blogosphere, the classroom, the college campus. I would be nothing short of honored to have you support me with a monthly donation of $15.Through your partnership, we can together be the catalysts for creating a culture of peace – a culture of life!

I know I am called to do this holistic work. What I don’t yet know is where I will get the financial means. That is why I appeal to you now. At the March for Life 2015, I realized that I needed to trust my support network. I needed to trust you. I needed to ask. You would be doing this work full-time if you could. But I can be your hands and feet, doing the work in the community, day-in and day-out. Not everyone has the time to do the human rights work they want to do. I have the time. I have the will. All I need is to fundraise $1,000 per month to take my work into full-time outreach and activism.

This t-shirt is just a kickstart to get my efforts going, to give me the opportunity to begin. If you want to help further, please send an email to aimee@lifemattersjournal.org to learn more.

I look forward to your support in whatever way you feel called.
I am, as ever, your grateful partner in this necessary work.

For peace & all life,
Aimee Murphy
