Pain can change your life in many strange ways. I started my blog, My Brain Hates Me, as a way to cope with the confusing process of diagnosis and finding the right medications for my condition. It grew into so much more than that as my condition lingered and the pain stuck around. Since its creation in 2012, I have made so many valuable connections in the medical, therapy, and Spoonie communities around the world.
Sharing my experience has, hopefully, helped others who have been going through the scary diagnostic process. When my brain started hating me, Google was my only source of support and information. Doctors weren't much help. And, honestly, there wasn't a lot of good news. It has been my goal to change that and to share the resources I've found over the past three years with fellow chronic pain suffers, fellow individuals with ASD, and anyone who suffers from anxiety or depression.
My pain doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon, but that doesn't mean yours won't. Thank you for reading about my journey, and thank you for buying my shirt!
I've referred to my pain as the "Monster Migraine" since the beginning. When I decided to create a shirt to raise funds to help my family and cover my medical expenses, the image of the monster and the hateful brain combined into the My Brain Hates Me Tee!
